Getting Started with Picotat

This guide is the fastest way to go from your first sign-in to your first running service.

1. Sign In

Open Picotat and sign in with your account. After you log in, you can access the main dashboard and the product areas available on your account.

2. Learn the Main Areas

Most users spend their time in these sections:

  • Bots: create, start, stop, and manage Discord bots
  • Minecraft: create and manage Minecraft Bedrock servers
  • Workflow Designer: build automations for your bots
  • Account and settings: update your profile and other personal settings

3. Pick Your First Goal

If you are new to Picotat, start with one of these:

  • Create your first Discord bot
  • Create your first Minecraft server
  • Build a simple workflow for a bot command

4. Choose the Best Region

When Picotat asks you to pick a region, choose the one closest to you or most of your players. This usually gives the best connection quality.

5. Watch Service Status

After you click Start or Stop, the status may take a short time to update. Give Picotat a moment to finish the action and watch the status shown in the dashboard.

Common examples include:

  • Starting: Picotat is bringing the service online
  • Online: your service is ready
  • Stopping: Picotat is shutting the service down
  • Offline: the service is currently stopped
  • Error: something needs your attention

6. Know What You Need Before Setup

Before creating a service, it helps to have the right information ready:

  • For a Discord bot: your Discord bot token and the server where you want to invite the bot
  • For a Minecraft server: a server name and the region you want to use
  • For a workflow: a clear idea of what you want the bot to do
